About

Lasting change is never imported.

Ataite Fund is a Netherlands-based foundation bridging Europe and Northern Kenya — connecting European capital to the impact-driven entrepreneurs already reshaping their communities from the inside out.

The name

Ataite is deeply rooted in Turkana heritage. Ata means mother. Aite refers to cattle — a pillar of life and sustenance in the culture of the Turkana people.

The name also honours a grandmother, making it both personal and symbolic of care, sustenance, and legacy. The fund carries this name as a commitment: to nurture, to sustain, and to leave something meaningful behind.

Vision

A bridge between Europe and Northern Kenya — where donors don't just give, they witness.

Mission

To connect people, capital, and communities — through real-world experiences that make impact tangible.

What makes us different

Built from the inside.

We fund entrepreneurs, not programmes.

People with skin in the game — never imported solutions.

We prepare before we fund.

The Scaling Readiness Programme ensures capital is never wasted.

We connect donors to impact directly.

No layers, no bureaucracy, full transparency.

We bring donors to the field.

Accountability is not a report — it is an experience.
